Walsh recognized Atec as one of the 849 recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during an award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. Atec earned the Gold Award and is honored to accept this for 2021. The HIRE Vets Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.
“Atec is proud to employ so many Veterans. The countless contributions from our diverse group of veteran employees here at Atec, have been key to the success and tremendous growth that Atec has recently experienced,” said Anthony Simmons, Director of Atec’s Field Services Program.
Atec established a Field Services Program back in 2013 that is centered on recruiting and hiring veterans to support the maintenance and repair of U.S. Air Force jet engine testing & support equipment. Since 2013 this program at Atec has experienced tremendous growth. Multiple new leadership positions for veterans at Atec have been created, and continue to be generated, through the Atec Field Services Program. Atec joins 848 other companies from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, for 2021 who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans. And also ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.
“Not only do we thank our Veterans for their service to our country, but we thank them for being an important and critical part of our Atec team. We are honored to accept the Hire Vets Medallion Gold Award,” said Howard Lederer, CEO and Chairman.
