Atec acquires Hager Machine & Tool

August 12, 2016—Atec , Inc., announced today the acquisition of Hager Machine & Tool, Inc. from the Hager family. Founded by Bill Hager in 1983, the shop became one of Houston’s truly respected machining operations. “Our world-renowned machine shop manager, Mark Cummings, had a personal relationship with the Hagers, and when they decided to sell following Bill Hager’s death, we were honored they came to us,” said Paul Fenley, Atec President. “We were lucky enough to keep many of the key machinists and office staff that Hager customers know and trust. Tooling, documentation and spares have also been retained, with transition and alignment activities already under way to boost operations immediately,” continued Fenley.

Atec is ISO9001 and AS9100C certified. A high tech infrastructure and a dedicated staff will now serve Aerospace and Energy clientele worldwide from Stafford TX, N Houston TX, Carlsbad NM and Midwest City OK.
