Starter Gearbox

The 129-8000-1 Starter Drive Assembly provides a suitable motive force for starting the PWA F100-PW-100, F100-PW-220E, F100-PW-229 series aircraft engines. It is a form, fit, & function replacement for the P/N: 103-3019-1 drive assembly. It is mounted to the gearbox mount plate on the bellmouth mount assembly.

The starter drive assembly includes a starter gearbox with a sliding shaft and jaw that engages a mating jaw installed on the engine. The sliding shaft is engaged by the application of air pressure to one side of actuator; disengagement is accomplished by switching air pressure to the reverse side of the actuator to retract the sliding shaft and jaw. A government-furnished (GFE) air turbine supplies rotational power to the gearbox.
