Atec manufactures the fuel and oxidizer valves on the Centaur Stage of the Atlas rocket. The Centaur second stage puts the satellite into the proper orbit before payload release. For the LCROSS Mission, the spent Centaur stage was used as the primary projectable for the LCROSS instrumentation satellite.
